The Beckman science fair season began with the Keystone Middle School Science Fair on Thursday, March 12th.  The following students presented their research to teams of judges.

Kaitlyn Besler -  Perceptions of Peanut Butter Alternatives

Gabrielle Hoeger - Impacts of Corn Gluten, Geranium Tea, and Gibberellic Acid on Seed Germination

Haley Kluesner - Filling the Gallon: Does Maturity Affect Bovine Lactation

Madelyn Reiter - What Bugs the Bugs: an Evaluation of Natural and Commercial Insect Repellents

Kelly Snyder - Swimming in the Fast Lane: a Correlation of Physical Characteristics and Swim Time

Luke Wessel - Impact of Corn Moisture Percentage on Yield at Harvest

Awards were as follows:

Individual champion - Madelyn Reiter

Third place tie in the individual category - Haley Kluesner and Kelly Snyder

Honorable Mentions Individual - Kaitlyn Besler and Luke Wessel

The regional and state science fairs have gone virtual and are in the judging process at this time.  The FFA Agriscience Fair has been postponed.
