Beckman Catholic Science Students Share Research

     The 2017 Iowa Regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium accepted research projects for a recent scholarship competition. The symposium is sponsored by the University of Iowa and the Belin Blank Center.  Six Beckman Catholic High School projects were among the sixteen chosen from across Iowa.  Juniors Mason Burlage, Megan Ertl, and Justin Wessel, and sophomores Nicole Schilling, Marcus Schneider, and Shelby Westhoff represented Beckman. Mason was awarded $1750 in scholarships for 3rd place, Megan received a $750 scholarship as the 4th place awardee and Marcus was named 6th place alternate.  Mason and Megan will travel to the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium in San Diego, California this April to present their research findings.
